I just ran stumbled upon this great blog post on how to make a Whoville-like Christmas tree and decided to put together a collection of everything I'll need to make one in case anyone else is interested.

You'll need 5-7 terra cotta pots of different sizes (size depends on how big your tree will be)

Handy Art Student Acrylic Paint 16 ounce, Light Green

You'll need some green paint (your choice of color really), I'm going to use this.

I love to make mosaics, whether it's a terra cotta pot or a 3d relief, it's lots of fun and the results look amazing. Here is what I use to make them. You'll also need a few things you probably have around the house: a pair of latex or dishwashing gloves, paper towels, some newspaper, a few disposable cups, a hammer, a sponge and something disposable to stir with (I usually use left over chopsticks)
